I've given birth... to a shop!
For a while, I've been thinking about the best way to sell my photos. I've got a long way to go with the marketing, and the website is not perfect yet, but... here's a sneak preview for you guys:
If you want to see more, please visit http://katc.photoshelter.com/ and have a play. Happy to hear your feedback!
Also, stay tuned for updates - new logo and other excitement coming soon.
(P.S. the shop is more or less functional. You should be able to buy photos for print or download if you are so inclined!)
The website looks fantastic, with all of your gorgeous photographs. I hope the webshop does really well. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I hope it does well too, but either way I'll count it as a learning experience. It won't put my off my photography hobby/habit, anyway!
DeleteCongratulations Kat, the photos are beautiful and I love your shop. I tried getting into the galleries but it said "access denied"? This is really huge and exciting news and I really do wish you all the very best!
ReplyDeleteThanks for that feedback - I'll have to see what security settings are on there.
DeleteIs giving birth to a shop painful?? Because I'm willing to bet they don't give you an epidural for it. THE BASTARDS!! ;)
ReplyDeleteShop looks AWESOME! Am looking forward to the day when I have some spare cash and can buy something (along with a frame to put it in), because I love your photos and I think that shall count very nicely as my "buy a piece of original art" goal on my 101 in 1001 list! :D
Oh, also? I just pimped out your shop on Twitter to make up for the fact that I have no money to actually buy stuff... <3
Awesome! Thanks for the 'pimp'!
DeleteYou'll be pleased to know, some of the prints come pre-framed, or the canvases don't need any framing at all :-)
I just noticed that! That's excellent - shall definitely be looking into those once I'm not epically broke :)
DeleteHahaha I'm sure I can wait until you aren't epically broke! And yes, shops are pointy. Giving birth to them is painful and drug-free.
DeleteI'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks shops would be pointy to give birth to.
DeleteI just had a poke around and whilst we've seen a lot of those photos here on the blog, they look amazing when they fill your screen! Congratulations on your shop - I'm sure it will do well xoxo
ReplyDeleteThanks Ness! I guess I'll only get out what I put in, so I have a lot of marketing to do... but I'm hoping for success too :-)
DeleteCongrats on your new shop! May you be blessed with much success. You sure do take lovely photographs.
ReplyDeleteThank you :-) I think I'm fortunate to have found a creative outlet that I can share with other people!
DeleteCongratulations on the new shop! Your photographs are so great! The textures are unreal!
ReplyDeleteThanks Deirdre! I always appreciate feedback on my photos, always room to improve :-)
DeleteAwesome Kat. Wish you the very best and great success. Your website looks fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThanks Suzy. I really appreciate your supportive attitude :-)
DeleteThat's so cool! I love your photos. I hope you sell piles of em :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'd be happy to even sell a handful :-)
DeleteGood work.
ReplyDeleteI said that in my head with a mouthful of scone and feijoa jam, and it sounded like "goo'wurg"
