Ant brought me a bug.
I've just realised that the previous sentence sounds like the name of a Pixar movie. Really, Ant is a guy I work with. For some reason, he stopped by our 'office' (Portacom) to show me a praying mantis he'd somehow acquired.
Little did he know that I had my camera...
Bugs are awesome. That is all.

Oh my God, you got to meet Keira Knightley? Awesome!! ;)
ReplyDeleteAll joking aside, these photos are seriously great! What lens were you using? Your trusty 18-100mm I presume
3 more sleeps until you're heeeeeeeeeeeere!!!
(shhh, I spent money on a new lens - 100mm f2.8 macro)
DeleteI thought it would be good for Megan's wedding - and it takes lovely 'face photos' too.
Nearly in Melbourne now, only about 38 hours to go!
Waou, this makes me remember once when i was sitting outside in my garden and a big one got in my hair. Was very impressive :)
ReplyDeleteOh dear... yes, bugs do seem to gravitate to hair. I keep getting moths in mine at night!! It's a bit hard to photograph something on top of my own head though ;-)
DeleteI love bugs so much! I had the (exceptionally geeky) thought yesterday that I kind of wished I'd lived 1-200 years ago so that I could make some new and exciting discovery in the Naturalist world, or just describe a bug or a plant or a place that few Europeans had visited and be famous for doing that. Of course, if I'd lived back in oldentimes I'd probably not be alive, and would also not have a macro lens or a DSLR with which to capture critters!!!
ReplyDeleteHahaha I think that's a fairly unique wish! But I do understand the sentiment - you could have named it a nessabug or something awesome :-)
