Bits and bobs from Christmas travels

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas, if that's what you celebrate! If you celebrate something else (personally, I've always been a fan of Festivus) then I hope that went well too.

There isn't any real theme to this update, other than I had fun taking photos. I'd love to know what you all have been up to, as well!

Many hills were climbed (by ute) and photographed (by me) along the journey. Auckland to Wellington is not a short trip...

Chris figured that the best present for, well, most of his family, was a giant flying fish. Yep.

Uncle Steve has all kinds of interesting things around the garden.

We went wandering through the hills of Wellington to burn off Christmas lunch. I almost got eaten by giant horses, but that happened after I took this photo.

Travelling back north... the Manawatu Gorge has been closed for at least half the year, due to a massive slip. So on the way to Uncle Gary's place we were detoured through the hills. The big benefit of this was that it led to the viewing area for the Te Apiti wind farm - amazing.

Happy holiday travels, everyone!
