My Day Zero list - 101 in 1001

Thanks for the idea, Kirsti!

Here are the Day Zero rules:

The Challenge:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple challenges such as New Year's resolutions or a 'Bucket List'. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips, study semesters, or outdoor activities.

  1. Hurrah!!! Looking forward to crossing of numbers 90, 67, 53, 51, 23, 12 and 1 with you :) Although I think I'll pass on the hot dog...

Can I come to the South Island too?!

  2. Sure you can come to the South Island. Though I'd be satisfied if work would pay for me to visit head office - that would do!

hahaha I love that you'll pass on the hot dog, but will look forward to macaroni cheese pizza (ew!)

  4. Man, I'm so jealous of all your American ones... a bagel in New York... that sounds so incredibly awesome!

Also, it looks like you're going riding twice - which I think is great because I love riding :)

I'm writing my list and I'm stuck at #64... it's actually quite hard to come up with 101 things that you'd like to do that you can realistically pack into 1001 days, all whilst holding down a full time job and not winning tattslotto! Or perhaps I dream a little too big ;)

  5. Hmm, I guess when I wrote the list over two nights I forgot what I clicked on the first night. I don't need to go horseriding twice!

Well, 1001 days is a pretty long time. It's close to 3 years... and there is no rule that the list has to be extravagant! I'd say at least 75% of mine cost nothing or very little.
